ROAD TO 300HP SUBARU BRZ - SBD500X Turbo kit Install Part 3 of 6 (Installing The Oilpan)
Decided to divide the video into parts, since my main goal is to help people doing these kinds of install. Hope it helps to specify the instructions and so I can help people on the more specific thing of the install process. Steps / Check List :
-Remove both O2 Sensors
-Removing (6) 14mm header nuts (sorry called them bolts) using a deep socket and crowfoot wrench
-Remove header
-Remove the MAP sensor
-Remove intake hoses
-Remove the intake and scoop
-Clean radiator (optional) lol? it always "bugged" me that it was filled with bugs
-Drain the oil using a 14mm bolt on the oil pan
-Remove oil pan bolts using a 10mm socket
-Use a heat gun and slowly pry off the oil pan in one corner then work around (be careful)
-Clean silicon residue from the engine block
-If oil pan is used, clean the pan as well
-Apply ultra black Permatex on the oil pan around 2mm to 6mm thick all around.
-Install the oil pan washer/gasket ***this is important to keep oil pressure or your engine can blow!
-Install the oil pan and hand tighten the bolts for 1 hour
-After 1 hour torque all the bolts to spec at 5 ft/lbs of torque and let it sit for 24 hours
-Do not put oil till after the 24-hour mark!
