Enigma is a 2001 film by Michael Apted, produced by Mick Jagger and adapted from the novel by Robert Harris. The Second World War is the setting for a story where they cross major historical events and the personal lives of the protagonists. The main character is a fictional employee of the royal figure of Alan Turing, a mathematician who had a great burden during the war for the study of decoding the German encryption systems, as well as to lay the foundations for many modern computing concepts and in the book by Harris he appears as a co-star but whose presence in the script obtained from the book and then in the same film has been cut for cinematographic reasons.
