An Algerian plane with 116 people on board has crashed after taking off from the Burkina Faso capital Ouagadougou en route to Algiers. Spanish airline Swiftair, which operates the airliner, said the Boeing MD83 is thought to contain 110 passengers and six crew. Some 50 passengers are thought to be French citizens.
