Speaking to HLT, Chitra Subramaniam, the famous journalist who exposed the Bofors scandal, said that the loss of Khushwant Singh was not the loss of an individual but marked the passing away of an institution which is what the great man was. Khushwant Singh's son Rahul Singh, interacting with the media, said that his father had been reading the newspapers even today and had died a peaceful death.
