Here's an older song by Progressive Metaler's HUNG. The core drum parts to this song have remained intact considering that when this song was written and recorded originally I was not a member. Hell, I don't think I played metal yet. Usually there is a fair amount of improvising, depending on what happens in the moment, but the overall structure of the playing is written out.
