On Urban Debate, with Aarti Subramaniam, we discuss the hijab row that has erupted all over Karnataka. Protests have erupted across the state with two warring factions having emerged. One demands that hijab is part of their right to practice religion and the other calls for sticking to the prescribed uniforms. Many protesters were seen with saffron scarves as a mark of demonstration against the Muslim hijab-wearing women. Aarti lays down the facts before welcoming our guests for the night.
