India marked its 75th Republic Day on Jan 26 with a showcase of its military might at the annual parade in New Delhi. This was possibly Prime Minister Narendra Modi's last parade, before general elections are held in a few months time. He and India's president were joined by French President Emmanual Macron, who attended the event as India's guest of honour. Priyata Brajabasi has more on the many firsts witnessed.
