This film is the first part of two showing the IRT Pelham Line during the summer of 2015.
The Pelham Line runs in the Bronx from Third Avenue–138th Street to Pelham Bay Park and is served by 6 local and (during weekdays) express trains.
The line runs underground until Whitlock Avenue, from whereon it runs on an elevated structure. From the platforms at Whitlock Avenue one has a magnificent view on the line as it crosses the Bronx River.
This part of the film shows some 6 Train action at Whitlock Avenue and Elder Avenue stations. As this has been filmed on a Saturday, there is no express service and all trains are running on the local tracks.
