Reduced Driveline Deflection. Ford makes use of soft, rubber bushings on their stock motor mounts which, while good for slower paced, around-town driving, simply aren’t durable enough for any extended hardcore driving. Fitting 2005-2017 Mustangs, these BMR Adjustable Motor Mounts, by contrast, make use of polyurethane bushings, which help to reduce driveline engine deflection and allow for overall better engine performance. BMR has made these mounts height adjustable, ranging from stock height to a half inch lower should you need to drop the engine.

Quality Materials and Construction. All the components of these BMR motor mounts are crafted right here in the USA. The mount itself is built from laser-cut ¼” steel plate to enhance stability and durability, while the spacers are crafted from billet aluminum for its light weight. The bushings are made of polyurethane for its light weight and durability as well. The combination of these various rugged and lightweight materials allows for greater engine response and overall performance.

Engine Support Equipment Needed. Replacing the motor mounts on your 2005-2017 Mustang can certainly be done at home, but it is a pretty involved provess. The engine will of course need to be unbolted from the mounts and supported, usually done by an overhead cherry-picker. If you don't have the necessary supporting tools, it is best to have this job done by a professional. From beginning to end, this installation should take approximately 4 hours.
