Jay Spector, DPM earned a doctorate in Podiatric Medicine from New York College of Podiatric Medicine and then completed the Georgia Podiatric Surgical Residency Program in 1994. He has been practicing in the Atlanta area for 25 years. Dr. Spector’s undergraduate degree in Economics provides him with a sound foundation for operating a successful practice. He is a Podiatric Surgeon at Atlanta Sports Podiatry, which he founded in 2018. With 2 locations in the Atlanta area, the practice specializes in treating athletic injuries of the feet and legs. His Sports Medicine practice utilizes traditional and alternative treatment methods, like Amniotic growth factors and Shockwave Therapy (ESWT), to restore health.
Dr. Spector is a member of the American Academy of Podiatric Sports Medicine (AAPSM) and is the current Director of the Atlanta Running Institute. He is now conducting a phase III FDA study on injecting Amniofix into the Achilles tendon. He is also an RRCA Certified Running Coach. He is an accomplished speaker and author of books and abstracts on various topics related to Sports Medicine.
