It's 1582. Yermak Timofeyevich and his band of 840 Cossacks are preparing to conquer the Khanate of Sibir. They are acting on behalf of the Stroganov family, henchmen to Ivan the Terrible.
After the fall of the Golden Horde and the capture of the Khanate of Kazan, Ivan IV is interested in the Siberian fur trade that became extremely lucrative after the founding of the Muscovy Company.
