On the face of it, what the Angry Rhubarb does is simple: a bit of gain, then a one-band EQ cut/boost with fixed bandwidth, then a whole chunk more gain. The mystery is how it manages to sound good at pretty much any setting. Anyway, I can't think of another overdrive that's as brilliantly versatile as this one. Can you?
