Recently, hundreds of people crowded along the Qiantang River in Hangzhou, east China’s Zhejiang Province, to view a spectacular tidal phenomenon known as a “bore”. Video shows a massive wave knock down and wash away dozens of spectators as the strong tidal bore breaches the barriers. Having ignored warnings, the individuals were standing on the dam and watching the tides when the accident suddenly happened. Fortunately no casualties were recorded.
