This little sloth bear is named Mowgli! Rescued by our partners Wildlife SOS in 2017 at the tender age of only ten weeks, Mowgli was found clinging to his dying mother on the edge of a tiger reserve in India. The mother had sadly been electrocuted by a high voltage wire rigged up by poachers, but amazingly, Mowgli escaped without injury!
Since arriving at the rescue centre, Mowgli has gone from strength to strength. He loves splashing around in pools, hanging out with his furry friends and living a care-free existence under the beating sun. We can never replace his mother, but we will do everything we can to ensure that he has the life that he deserves!
