'IMF와 노딜'… 아르헨티나, 채무협정 반대 시위
Speaking of protests,... thousands of protesters also took to the streets of Buenos Aires on Tuesday,... demanding the government scrap its debt deal with the IMF.
Demonstrators rallied outside the country's iconic government building,... the Casa Rosada,... to voice their opposition against President Alberto Fernandez's deal with the IMF in January,... for a 44-point-5 billion US dollar standby agreement.
The deal would see debt payments pushed back,... but involve pledges to meet certain economic targets agreed with the lender,... which protesters say will cause further economic turmoil in the country.
