Engine had worn intake valves causing misfire to cylinder 2 and had a blown rear main seal and around 5 degrees of chain stretch. In last 18 months had pcv, injectors, throttle body, manifold all replaced trying to locate the issue. Finally discovered pcv valve had failed for original owner who had replaced it but hadnt realised the rear main seal had blown until four months later when other damage had been caused from running lean for a long time.
Head was reconditioned with new valves and guides, piston shells/bearings, rear main seal, clutch/flywheel and piston rings and water pump just for the sake of doing it whilst stripped down.
