A 60 yrs old male patient presented to ER with difficulty and pain while swallowing.History of accidental ingestion of big piece of Beef Meat, which got impacted in his throat.X-Ray neck was taken which showed widening of pre vertebral shadow in the post cricoid area.Emergency Rigid Esophagoscopy was done under General Anaesthesia and foreign body was removed successfully.Patient was discharged the next day following the procedure.The procedure was successfully performed by Dr.S.Kalyan Kumar MS ENT and Anesthesia by Sr.Anaesthetist Dr.N.Surya Narayana MD ANAE

Be careful while consuming Chicken /Mutton

Always chew properly and then swallow.

Prefer to take in small pieces instead of gulping big chunk of meat.

Don’t be in a hurry while consuming food.

Don’t involve in other discussions as chance of chocking may be there.
