Great Keppel Island a very accessible tropical island paradise right on the doorstep of Yeppoon Queensland. This beautiful island which is only a few minutes off the mainland is full of ocean adventure, rare wildlife, secluded beaches and ocean caves, and relaxed island vibes.
My team at Descent Productions had the opportunity to spend 5 days on Great Keppel Island shooting this project with Tourism and Events Queensland in June last year, and we had an absolute blast. The underwater and ocean world here is epic, from scuba diving with Olive Sea Snakes, and vibrant coral reefs to seeing our first Dugong, this island really delivered.
Thanks to the team at GKI Hideaway, Keppel Dive & Snorkel, GKI Watersports and GKI Explorer for taking us out and showing us your tropical paradise!
