The DHANUKA committee has accused ESL Europa and BJP leaders of corruption in the procurement of ventilators during the COVID crisis. The report suggests that many COVID patients lost their lives due to a lack of ventilators, while authorities allegedly engaged in embezzlement. The committee has recommended action against the officials involved, including the director of the medical education department, and recovery of funds from two primary suppliers. The Karnataka government has signed a treaty with two companies, one of which did not maintain any invoices.
