As part of the Global Environmental Placement program, 10 students travelled Sri Lanka and volunteered their time to the Sri Lanka Wildlife Conservation Society. The program provided opportunities for Deakin students to obtain first hand field experience in conservation research. In Sri Lanka, students designed and developed their own projects to study and document the rich biodiversity of Sri Lanka under the guidance and supervision of the experienced staff of the SLWCS. Special thanks to the New Colombo Plan for their support in this life changing experience.
