In this week’s CCX Sports Fishing Tip Hall of Fame angler Terry Tuma talks about catching big northern pike in the warm lake waters of late July and August. Terry says northerns can be found on many Minnesota lakes and suggests casting a spinner bait into weed flats. Cabbage and coon tail are often on top of the flats. Terry has also had success using a bobber system with a sucker minnow. Also consider a live bait rig with a steel leader and trolling along the weed edge.
