Hello friends! After 18 months of spinning and a whopping three trial projects on my vintage rigid heddle loom, it is time to put my skills to the test and weave myself a scarf with my handspun yarn. All the other weaving projects I had thus far attempted were all made with acrylic yarn, and I am a selfproclaimed wool snob, so that didn't quite fit.
So join me on this cosy weaving trip! Eventhough it is still warm enough to weave this entire thing outside, we'll prepare ourselves for the coming winter. All the yarn I'm using is naturally dyed, yes, the warp as well!
I'm trying to mimick a bit of a plaid scarf, but also incorporate some fun elements like clasped weft weaving and some stripes. A burberry scarf from Aldi!
