The second artist who has been in touch here, is the writer and singer Ronn Matlock. Ronn is very like Vance Tenort, in as much as he is a very easy going, personable man, whose information has been invaluable at the site, all told. Why post a song by Keith Barrow? Well, this rare groove two stepper was penned by Michael Stokes and Ronn (who wrote all, bar one, of the songs for this album). Keith, as you may well know, was an early victim of the AIDS virus. He recorded this terrific track and album for CBS back in 1978. Ronn was about to release his own 'Love City' set in 1979, which also featured the terrific 'I Can't Forget About You'. Can't place a cigarette paper between which of the songs I prefer. One thing is for sure is that Ronn, when the spirit moves him, can write a real corker of a song.
