An Arpeggio is when you take a chord in Western music (defined as the route, third, fifth, and in the case of 7th chords, the 7th note), and you play the notes in either alphabetical order or in any individualized sequence. The term "arpeggio" is often put on a pedestal for guitar players. In it's most fundamental form it's just a chord that is plotted out note by note💁 you could literally arpeggiate and E-minir chord by playing one note at a time. Realizing this lightens out work load and enables us to plot out the notes and not overthink it! The easiest way to go about it is to just do the work so to speak and plot out the "natural notes" (no sharps or flats) on the fretboard going from A to A B to B, C to c etc. Then plot out the root. third note, 5th note and 7th note of each one. That's going to yield all of your diatonic arpeggio patterns! Here's where the capo can be used for good🦸♂️once you've done the work with the natural notes. apply the capo to fret 1 and simply adjust the ENTIRE system up by 1 fret🤷😳 let the shredding begin🤌🎶
