This was our stopover in Ludza on our way to Estonia during our 2021 Summer road trip.

Between Small and Big Lakes of Ludza, on the top of a hill, a Latgalian wooden castle was erected for the protection of the borders. Around the castle, an active and rich town of Ludza appeared, which received its name in honor of the castle’s owner’s daughter Lūcija.

Typo error at the last part of the video.

It should be Lūdzu (NB. The sign on the first letter U)
