This short video shows DRBC staff collecting a water sample to monitor bacteria levels. From May - September 2021, we collected samples weekly at nine shore-based locations in the tidal Delaware River around Philadelphia and Camden. This multi-year study is to determine whether bacteria levels in this stretch of river are conducive for close-contact recreation (think swimming, jet skiing, etc.).
