This is my full review on 12 by rishi
I LOVED how cozy and comfortable the ambience is. Reminded me of what I’ve seen ramen shops on TV to look like. The service was polite as well.
Lilly and I got the $150 Trinidad & Tobago Restaurant Week special which was a three-course special.
The drinks were not inclusive with the deal, however the Lemon iced tea was only $25 so we got them to try. We rated them an 8/10, it just needed a little more lemon to make it perfect. Otherwise, it was refreshing.
Now for the appetizers. The Shrimp toast gets an 8.5/10. shrimp could’ve used more flavour (relied too much on sriracha mayo) but the toast was on point in terms of crispiness. Pairing with the scorpion soy was perfection if you like the added heat.
The Brisket bao was a full 10/10, to the point where we looked up Smokey Pete to see if he caters 😭. The bao was super fluffy and its mild flavour complimented the richness of the brisket. And the sauces gave added flavour without taking dominance.
Yall. The ramen? On POINT! Not too salty, very rich broths to the point that we wondered if the noodles were made out of shrimp or pork 😭 all of the toppings did complimented each other well, even though I thought the tomato was a strange addition? It was actually a nice cooling element for the spiciness of the shrimp.
Shrimp ramen 9.5/10
Pork ramen 9/10
Finally, the dessert,
Red velvet waffle cake 8.5/10. My favourite part was the Tonkabean cream 😍😍 so decadent and paired well with the soft, yet firm waffles.
Matcha bread pudding 9/10. I appreciate that the matcha flavour wasn’t too overpowering, the pudding was a bit firm but I still enjoyed it tremendously.
@12_by_rishi you didn’t disappoint us at all and I can’t wait to revisit to try more from your menu! 😍
