Stability Balls are great to work on your balance while really building your core muscles!
Before you start, have a properly sized stability ball that will allow you to sit on it with your knees at 90 degrees and on a non-slip surface like carpet, rug or yoga mat so your dog can have grip for their poses. That's right your dog is included, so make sure the ball is always secure so it doesn't roll away if they try to get on it before it's time! For you all with smaller dogs, you may want to get a smaller ball. Also hopefully your dog's nails are well-maintained so they don't pop the ball.
We recommended taking a walk with your dog before you begin, to help set the mood as the dogs really pick up on your energy, so focus on your breath to help relax and to strengthen your bond. Also don't forget to grab some dog treats before starting to help encourage your dog to join along!
It takes communication and coordination which comes along with practice. The main thing is to have fun and be safe while including your dog as much as possible! 🐾
