Here is a video of yet more birthday cupcakes (thank goodness I have friends that like cake, otherwise I'd never get a chance to practice). As stated in the video, the theme was black and red. I had a limited time frame (as per usual with these cupcakes) so the roses were the things that took the longest to do (ditto) everything else was basically just assembly and took around 30 minutes. Lots of glitter, as you can probably tell, it's one of my favourite things to use on a cake - or in life, really - and although I know that it's down to personal preference, I really think that I've finally got 'using lots of glitter and not making something look tacky' down!
What did I use?
Vanilla sponge cupcakes, with pre-bought black fondant and home-coloured red (n.b., I used a gel colour) foodsafe glitter, and some leftover vegan frosting and cocktail sticks just to hold everything together.
I hope that you enjoyed my video and my oh, so wonderful camera skills.
Peace out!
:D
