I picked up an induction cooktop at Aldi for $25 AU =$16 USA and I am so impressed by the performance without any wind it was 50% faster than my gas stove but add a slight breeze. Without an additional wind shield the gas couldn't boil a litre but the induction was not effected, it worked with my existing stainless pots and kettle and my titanium pots but not my Trangia fry pan.
While I still think 🤔 its not practical or sensible to put a $10K electrical system into a car just to run an induction cooktop (due to cost and fuel required to recharge battery) if you have access to mains power why not use it
