The track was recorded in nature on a ,,Suvingis” lake shore where I spent all my summers of childhood.
While already having created my melody, I was searching through my father's book of poems for some lyrics. I came across this short story about an old man catching fish. Surprisingly, the lyrics fitted perfectly. I thought that besides my own voice I need a sound of an old man in the song. I remembered that four years ago I recorded my grandfather singing on the spot. The recording matched the key without the need to transpose anything.
Although the text about an unsuccessful fisherman is a bit ironic, it turned out to be quite lyrical and romantic.
