I have quite a growing selection of favourite phones that boast a budget cost, with Xiaomi still bringing it hard. The Redmi Note 9 Pro rocks a cheap price of £250, despite sporting impressive camera tech, performance, battery life and design. Meanwhile Motorola is still among the best thanks to its Moto G8 Plus, while Oppo also serves up stiff competition with the A9 2020 and Reno 2Z. The Realme 6 and 6 Pro are also seriously impressive rivals, featuring 90Hz displays, strong performance and that fresh Realme UI.
Google will please any camera fans, with the cheap Pixel 3a, although we really should have had the Pixel 4a by now. Meanwhile Samsung proves that you don't need to throw away a grand to enjoy its One UI experience. Sure, the speed and camera tech aren't as strong as others in this review round-up, but the Galaxy A51 is still a respectable choice.
