The cave of Rocio was one of the first Romany zambras in the Sacromonte. Founded by Don Andrés Maya Fajardo and Doña Rocío Fernández Bustamante in 1951, the cave remains under the direction of the Maya family, one of the most important names in flamenco.En recent years has had the pleasure to receive famous visitors as the First Lady of the United States, Michelle Obama , and the Kings of Spain, Don Juan Carlos and Queen Sofia , with the President of the United States, Bill Clinton. La Cueva de la Rocio has two different caves plus a large terrace outdoors with views of the Alhambra and Generalife. Flamenco shows are approximately 45 minutes and has six to eight different artists. Viewers Zambra enjoy a typical show of the region of Granada. The seats are on each side of the cave with the artists in the middle.
