making guitar body blank from half a small log.
A friend of mine brought me this little log to make a guitar body. he had already cut it in half but realized that he wasn't going to be able to cut it straight so he brought it to me.
what he wanted was a slice about 1 3/4". so. I took out the chainsaw mill, put a plank on top of it, set the cutting depth to cut about 5" below the mill. when cut, I ran the guitar body blank in the planer to roughly smooth out the piece and done!!
