In initial days this is produced by the pregnant woman's body in large quantities and then this job is taken up by the placenta decreasing the nausea gradually in the later days likely between 12-14 weeks. However other hormones like oestrogen and thyroxine. can also be the cause of this sickness when this extends beyond first trimester. Take rest and avoid being tired or hungry which can worsen it. Relaxation and complementary therapies help reduce stress. Eating small and frequent meals help reduce stress and one should take time off work. Watch out for foods which worsen symptoms and avoid them. Rich, fried, fatty or highly-spiced foods should be avoided. Stop worrying about having balanced diet at this stage. The pregnant mother and the baby catch up on the right amount of nutrients later during pregnancy when your nausea is expected to subside. Mother should be well hydrated and one should sip juices, water or any liquids which can be adjusted to"
