Ingredients for Dry Bombil Batata Recipe
6 to 7 dried Bombay Ducks/Bombil
2 spring onions, with leeks
1 medium onion
1 medium potato
1 medium tomato
1/2-inch ginger, 6 to 7 cloves garlic, 2-3 green chillies (coarsely grind)
2 tsp Chilli powder or Bottle masala
1 tsp Coriander powder
1/2 tsp Turmeric powder
1/2 cup tamarind extract (a small ball of tamarind soaked in warm water)
coriander leaves
2 to 3 tbsp oil for cooking
salt, as per taste
