ASMR: Autonomous Sensory Meridian Response.
Otherwise known as a pleasant sort of static, tingling sensation that starts at the base of the skull and continues down the spine. It is often triggered by soft speaking, whispering, and tapping (among a host of other "triggers"). Not everyone experiences ASMR but it is often used as background noise for studying or as a cure for insomnia, depression, or anxiety.
