Yesterday I visited my usual spot on the River Line at Valley Cottage to film, and unfortunately I didn't see anything particularly interesting. The DPU on the end of the second train was more interesting than usual but still nothing to write home about. As the title said, however, I did use my new mic. I got a Rode VideoMicro and it's quite good, and definitely a step up from my camcorder's built-in mic. It also does an excellent job at jamming wind noise with the deadcat (the furry thing people put on microphones) attached. It was very windy yesterday and you can't even hear it!
