For this year’s Replanted Conference theme (www.replantedconference.org), we chose four life-changing words that affirm a truth we believe foster and adoptive parents can’t hear enough: “Loved As You Are”—not for how clean they can keep their kitchen, or how well-behaved their kids were today—but for how infinitely and perfectly loved by God they are. Nothing they do or don’t do can change that. We don’t need to be “enough” because God’s grace is enough. We believe that this truth transforms who we are as people, parents, and caregivers, especially when staring down the awesome, joy-giving, and often challenging reality of caring for children from hard places.
