ROCAMAT supplies an exemplary sustainable development project. Epsilon is the first building in France to obtain the dual certification HQE and BREEAM Very Good, incorporating the parameters of the RT 2012 Thermal Regulations. It provides optimal levels of comfort for employees, using 15% less energy than a standard new building. Designed by SUD Architectes, Epsilon is built on two underground levels. The program has created a usable surface area of 36,900 sq. m.
The French limestone of Anstrude, of light shade, extracted from one of the quarries of ROCAMAT, covers the walls of the building. The composition of limestone is 100% natural and mineral, giving the assurance of a healthy building without any emission of volatile pollutants. Natural stone does not release any harmful chemical components into the atmosphere either during production or when it is used. ROCAMAT products can already be found in HQE and BREEAM projects as well as positive energy buildings.
