With strength being measured at greater than 95% for limb symmetry index (LSI), it’s time for another new exercise with our collegiate soccer player rehabbing a left-sided anterior cruciate ligament reconstruction (ACLR) and meniscus repair. The hex bar deadlift is a great way to improve strength to develop athleticism maximally.
He wears blood flow restriction (BFR bands) to make this exercise even more difficult. Performing three sets of thirty repetitions (with 30 seconds rest between sets) of hex bar deadlifts is very challenging. To reach his goals, he has to perform demanding exercises!
The proper technique focuses on
✅ Neutral spine
✅ Initiating the hip extension movement from the gluteals
✅ Proper technique
✅ Diaphragmatic breathing
Effective and efficient rehab is criterion-based, not time-based.
