Bosch ebikes generally come with the Intuvia controller which while not bad doesn't offer a lot of information beyond basic stats. And it doesn't include navigation. I've been using my phone for navigation but that drains the battery and its mount makes it awkward for photography so I decided to splash out on the Nyon (gen n2) controller. After my first 36 hours of use I recorded this video of my impressions so far (and added some text to the video based off the following 48 hours).
I'm quite excited both at the extra stats this opens up, the navigation but most of all that my preliminary testing does confirm that the customer modes of assist you can create can massively increase the potential range. 60km in and it looks certain I can get about 210km out of a 500w battery. That's a huge deal that opens up the possibility of cycling the length of Africa.
