It’s little wonder Kiwis can’t keep up with the cost of living - I want to spell this out for you…
Our wages simply haven’t kept up with the rapidly ballooning costs of living. Inflation has hit 7%, food prices are up 6% and our year-on-year wage growth went from 2.4% growth to 3.8% growth.
It hasn’t kept up. Do the math. It doesn't stack up just for the basics. As a result, Kiwis have been asked to do the impossible these last two years - which is to cope, somehow.
