This time lapse video was shot while we were cleaning an EIFS Dryvit, Synthetic Stucco office building here in Houston Texas. This is part of four buildings we are cleaning in an office park and all are pretty dirty with this algae that grows on the walls due to our humidity and moisture. Pressure Washing an EIFS Dryvit wall should never be done. This is a very thin exterior insulated surface and use of pressure can easily cut into the surface and damage it. We only use very low pressure, we like to call it our Softie Wash process, that uses less pressure than a garden hose, but allows the cleaning solution to do the cleaning. After applying the cleaning solution, we then follow up with a soft gentle cold water rinse. At the very end we used a rust removal product to remove a rust stain underneath the HVAC over flow drain. The method of Pressure Cleaning Stucco should never be used on dryvit or stucco. Our soft wash cleaning method will get it clean safely and with out damage.
