As we continue our Communication Skills and Strategies Series, this tip focuses on the need for visual cues. Did you know we 'hear' with more than just our ears? Facial cues and expressions, along with lip movements, are essential for good communication.
For the best communication, make sure you can always see the face of the person talking. If they are wearing a mask or face covering, given our current climate of social distancing and precautions, wearing a cover with a clear vinyl window will help others understand you more clearly.
Make sure you keep your entire face clear; when speaking, we want to see your eyes, mouth, and overall facial expressions.
As before, if you've found this video helpful, please share your experience and how this communication tip will help you in the comments below!
