The tarantula hawk, a formidable wasp, hunts tarantulas in a fascinating process. First, it locates a tarantula using its keen sense of smell. Once found, the wasp delivers a paralyzing sting to the tarantula, rendering it temporarily immobile but alive. The tarantula hawk then drags the paralyzed tarantula to a suitable location and burrows a nest in the ground.
