African Bank is to get South Africa's first black woman bank CEO.
The bank has announced that Basani Maluleke will succeed Brian Riley, who will step down at the end of March next year.
Maluleke is primarily an attorney. She was appointed an executive director of the bank in July, after having joined by Board in 2015.
Maluleke's nomination is yet to be approved by banks regulator - the South African Reserve Bank.
