If you're getting any of the 0xc000009a dinput8.dll & xinput1_4.dll errors when trying to load GTA V Story Mode, then there's probably a simple enough explanation with this Battleye setting.

Sadly, you do need to re-enable it to play GTA Online, but it will at least get you playing GTA 5 Offline again even if you're using mods.

Failing that you can also try re-verifying the game integrity in Settings or launching it in Administrator mode (right mouse on the Rockstar Launcher launch icon).
