Watford North Station is located on "The Abbey Line" between Watford Junction and St Albans Abbey,

The line is a single tracked branch line which given its proximity to London is a bit of a contrast to other lines in the area, because of the single line arrangement train services run on a 40 minute basis.

All services are operated by London Northwestern Railway (part of West Midlands Trains) using Class 319's at the time of filming, this however is no longer the case with Class 350's being used instead to provide the services.
