ok so smth that always annoys me is forgetting to check the layer I am making a path for. If its a shape layer ill have to redo the whole path on a mask layer which is super duper annoying... so this is a little hack ;)

⭐️ WHY IS SHAPE LAYER DIFFERENT TO MASK?
so basically shape layers contain the actual vector shapes u create eg rectangle which is a separate path to masks which don't contain shapes directly. Masks are applied to layers so thats why u would be screwed (w/o this hack!) if you wanted to use masks and u have a shape.
